How to Get a Tax Acknowledgement Receipt?

It is also called the ITR-V form or Income Tax Returns-Verification form.

It is a receipt that the Income Tax department gives the taxpayers after they file their tax returns.

It shows that tax returns was filed and processed properly.

Follow the steps given below to get the receipt:

Go to- www.incometax.gov.in
Log in with your PAN number as user ID and type in the password.
Select the “e-File > Income Tax Returns > View Filed Returns” option to see e-filed tax returns.
You can verify your e-returns by clicking on view “Income returns pending for e-verification”.
To download ITR-V click on the ‘Download Form’ button of the relevant assessment year.
