A scholarship is financial support offered by the university/government/individual or any other organisation to a student to help them pursue their choice of education or career.
It is usually given on the basis of merit, socio-economic status, gender or caste that pays half or full of the fees and in some cases also gives some allowance to the student to carry on their research.
