Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA) is an account under the government scheme called Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY).

It is a special government scheme for the benefit of the girl child.

It is a high interest guaranteed return investment scheme, especially for the girl child.

This scheme is a part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana.

The Sukanya Samriddhi Account can be opened by parents of a girl child below ten years of age.

You can invest in this scheme for 21 years or until your daughter gets married after 18 years of age.
