Ration card is a proof of our economic status
It allows the cardholder and their family to get food grains, kerosene, etc. at Subsidy/ subsidised rates from the government

Earlier, you could buy ration only from the ration shop assigned to you. Now, you can buy from any shop in any place within the country.
