At the banking counter, as for a form to open Post Office RD
Fill in the details asked in the form
Fill in the nomination details
Submit the KYC document copies
Verify the KYC document copies with the original at the bank
Fulfil your first deposit
Take the receipt
Keep the documents safe for redemption
You can make your post office RD account deposits before the 15th of every month

You can open a post office RD online if you already have a savings account in a post office and have activated netbanking for the same
Login to your netbanking account from the India Post website
Choose open post office RD
Enter the details such as photo, start date, post office branch etc
Enter nomination details
Select how you want to transfer money to your recurring deposit
Click on ‘submit.’
Make the first payment
The receipt of payment will be shared with your registered mobile number and email address
You can now check your post office RD status through your net-banking portal
