Do’s and Don’ts of PAN Card

Here are some of the do’s and don’ts for PAN card application:

Do’s Don’ts
Use form 49 A to apply for a Pan card- this is the form that is used as an application for applying for PAN Try not to make mistakes in the Pan application. Do not overwrite, scratch, etc.
Fill the PAN application in block letters, preferably using a black pen Don’t pin or staple the photograph to the form. Paste it.
The size of the photo you paste on the form should be 3.5 cm × 2.5 cm Sign inside the space provided for signature
If you are using a thumb impression instead of signature, it must be attested by a gazetted officer, a notary or a magistrate under official stamp and seal Don’t use Mr.,Ms.,Mrs., on the application form while filling the name or signing
Your identity proof, address proof and proof of date of birth should have the same spelling of your name Don’t write your intials on the space given for first name and last name
Use your full postal address along with a landmark in the application Women applicants must give their father’s name. Do not give your husband’s address, give your father’s address.
Check again if your phone number written in the application is correct Do not apply for a new PAN card if you already have a pan card
