How to apply for an e-Shram Card?

Keep the following things ready to apply-

You can apply with 2 methods

Apply online on: https://eshram.gov.in

OR

Physically through a Common Services Centre, at a nearby Post Office, Public Service Centre (Lok Sewa Kendra), and Choice Centre.

Follow the given steps-

1.Go to: https://eshram.gov.in


2. Click on Register on e-Shram


3. A Self Registration page will now be displayed.

  • Enter your mobile number which is linked to your Aadhaar card number.
  • Enter the Captcha code.
  • Answer the Yes/No questions on EPFO and ESIC. Remember that if you answer Yes to these questions, you will not be eligible for e-Shram card and cannot register.
  • Click on Send OTP.

4. You will receive an OTP on the mobile number you entered. Enter that OTP. Click on Submit.


5. Fill in Aadhaar number.

  • Select the OTP option below it to complete KYC.
  • Enter the Captcha code.
  • Click on the small box to agree to the terms and conditions. A tick mark will appear in the box.
  • Click on Submit.

6. You will receive an OTP on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card. Enter that OTP. Click on Validate.


7. A Registration Form page will now get displayed. It will show your photograph and personal details as linked with your Aadhaar card.

  • Click on the small box to agree that the information is correct. A tick mark will appear in the box.
  • Click on Continue To Enter Other Details.

8. The Personal Information page will open.

  • Enter details like Emergency Mobile Number, Marital status, Caste, any disability, and Nominee details.
  • Remember to fill Nominee Details after thinking because they will get the Rs. 2 lakh insurance.
  • Click on Save and Continue.

9. The Address page will open.

  • Fill in the details as per your Aadhaar card. Fill in State, House number, Locality, District, Sub district/ Tehsil, Pin Code and the number of years you are Staying at current location.
  • If your permanent address is the same as current address, click on the box. If not, fill in the details of your permanent address.
  • Click on Save and Continue.

10. Education Qualification page will open. You can select your level of education from the drop-down list.

  • Select the Monthly Income Slab that applies to you.
  • Click on Save and Continue.

11. Occupation and Skills page will open. This is an important page.

  • As you start typing, a drop down list will appear. Select your occupation from the list. To see a complete list of all the occupations, click on ⓘ. Type the code that applies to your occupation.
  • Fill in the number of years you have been working in the occupation in the Working experience in Primary Occupation field.
  • If you have another occupation, fill it in in the Secondary Occupation field. Follow the steps you used to fill in the previous occupation.
  • Answer the two questions on how you acquired the skills for the occupations.
  • Click on Save and Continue.

12. Bank Details page will open.

  • Fill in the details like account number, IFSC code, account holder name.
  • Click on Save and Continue.

13. You will now see all the information you filled in appear in your summary page. Check if everything is correct.


14. Click on the small box in the bottom of the page to accept an undertaking. A tick mark will appear in the box. Click on Submit.


15. Your e-Shram card or UAN card will get generated and appear on the screen.


16. Download and print this e-Shram card.


17. Click on Complete Registration.
