What to do if your moneylender is using unlawful means to recover money?

If your moneylender uses unlawful means for recovery, do the following:

  • If the police refuse to file a complaint then approach the District Magistrate.

  • You can file a civil injunction suit in the court which will give you some time to make financial arrangements to repay the loan. The moneylender will not be allowed to visit your home or workplace to recover money.
