The best way to ensure the card is safe is always to keep it in a wallet. Never provide your debit card details to harmful or duplicitous websites. Ensure that the Payment Gateway is Verified by shopping on trusted online websites. Also, check the reviews of the website. Other customers will have commented on their experiences.

What can you do if your ATM card has been duplicated?

What can you do if money was taken from your account without your notice?

In case your debit card gets stolen, or there are transactions taking place which you have not made, report it to the bank immediately. The report should be made as soon as you notice the loss.

    According to RBI regulations, all banks must have ATMs with updated security systems as of December 2019. Whichever bank’s ATM was used by the fraudster will refund the amount that was withdrawn in full as a penalty for not following the regulation.

    Banks will do the needful to make sure the money is refunded to your account within 14 days and that the account is secure again.
